PH5421 – Research Methods in Public Health
This course equips students with fundamental research skills needed in public health practice. It covers the formulation of research questions, literature review, study design, data collection methods (quantitative and qualitative), ethical considerations, and report writing. Students also learn how to critically appraise existing research and interpret statistical findings.
Through individual and group projects, students develop the ability to conduct evidence-based public health investigations. The course lays the groundwork for their future contributions to scientific knowledge and public health policy.
