NS3047 – Research Methods in Nursing
This course equips students with the foundational skills necessary to conduct and interpret nursing research. Topics include research design, formulation of research questions and hypotheses, literature review techniques, sampling methods, data collection tools, and basic statistical analysis. The course stresses the ethical considerations in human subject research and the importance of evidence-based practice.
Students will develop a mini research proposal as part of their coursework, allowing them to apply theory to practice. This experience prepares them to critically evaluate existing research, participate in clinical studies, and contribute to improvements in patient care through informed, data-driven decisions.
