NS5131 OPHTHALMOLOGY NURSING

NS5131 – Ophthalmology Nursing

Ophthalmology Nursing introduces students to the specialized field of eye health. The course covers the anatomy and physiology of the eye, common eye diseases (e.g., glaucoma, cataracts, conjunctivitis), and emergency eye care procedures. Students also learn techniques for vision screening, eye drop administration, and post-operative care for ophthalmic surgeries.

The course combines theoretical instruction with clinical observation or practice in ophthalmology units. It prepares students to participate in eye health outreach programs and support the early detection and treatment of vision problems in various populations.
