PH5607 – Outreach and Mobile Health Services
This course explores innovative approaches to delivering healthcare services outside traditional clinical settings, particularly to underserved and remote populations. Topics include the design, operation, and evaluation of mobile clinics, outreach programs, health caravans, and community health campaigns. Students learn about planning logistics, maintaining continuity of care, and building trust with local populations.
Hands-on experience includes simulations and fieldwork to understand how mobile health can be a lifeline in emergencies, health promotion, vaccinations, chronic disease screening, and maternal-child care. The course prepares students to address health inequities by bringing services directly to the people who need them most.
