BIO410FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE

BIO410 – Fisheries and Aquaculture provides a comprehensive overview of fish biology, aquatic ecosystems, and the principles of fish farming and management. Topics include taxonomy of aquatic organisms, fish physiology, breeding techniques, feeding, pond design, water quality control, and disease management in aquaculture systems.

Students will engage in field visits to fish farms and hands-on exercises in hatchery practices, population assessment, and aquaculture system maintenance.
