PH5311 – Child Health

This course addresses the physical, emotional, and social health needs of children from birth through adolescence. It covers childhood diseases, immunization schedules, nutrition, growth monitoring, developmental milestones, and strategies for disease prevention and health promotion. Students also explore maternal and child health programs and policies aimed at reducing child mortality.

The course prepares students to assess, plan, and deliver child-focused health interventions, emphasizing family-centered care and community-based approaches to pediatric health.
