BIO191GENERAL BIOLOGY PRACTICAL I
BIO191 – General Biology Practical I complements the theory learned in BIO101 by offering hands-on experiences in biological experimentation and analysis. Students engage in laboratory investigations that reinforce their understanding of cellular structure, microscopy, biological molecules, enzyme activities, and cell division. Through dissections, slide preparations, and various experimental setups, students develop essential laboratory techniques and learn to observe, record, and interpret scientific data accurately.
This course encourages a deeper appreciation of the biological sciences by allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world biological systems. Emphasis is placed on safety procedures, proper handling of lab equipment, and teamwork during experiments. The skills acquired in this practical course are foundational for future laboratory courses and are crucial for careers that demand precision and scientific rigor.
