NS5080 – Occupational Health
Occupational Health explores the relationship between work environments and health outcomes. The course covers occupational hazards, workplace safety regulations, risk assessment, health promotion, and disease prevention strategies specific to occupational settings. Topics include ergonomics, chemical exposure, mental health in the workplace, and managing workplace injuries.
Students learn to conduct workplace health assessments and develop health and safety programs. This course prepares nursing professionals to advocate for safer working conditions and promote employee well-being through policy and education.
