PH5202 – Nutrition in Health and Disease

This course explores the critical role of nutrition in maintaining health and preventing disease. Topics include macronutrients and micronutrients, dietary guidelines, nutrition assessment, and the management of common nutritional disorders such as malnutrition, obesity, diabetes, and hypertension.

Students examine the impact of nutrition across the life cycle and in different populations. The course also covers food safety, public health nutrition programs, and strategies for nutrition education and promotion in community settings.
