BIO210SEED PLANTS

BIO210 – Seed Plants focuses on gymnosperms and angiosperms, exploring their anatomy, reproduction, life cycles, and ecological significance. Students study the vascular system, reproductive strategies (including pollination and seed dispersal), and adaptations that make seed plants the dominant flora in most terrestrial ecosystems.

This course offers both theoretical and practical exposure, encouraging students to explore plant anatomy through dissection and microscopic analysis. Emphasis is placed on the evolutionary success of seed plants and their importance in agriculture, medicine, and ecosystem functioning. The course prepares students for more advanced studies in botany, agriculture, and plant biotechnology.
