This course introduces students to the fundamentals of media writing. It focuses on language use, grammar, clarity, and structure in writing for newspapers, radio, television, and online platforms.
Students learn how to write news stories, features, and simple press releases with accuracy and objectivity. Attention is given to the 5Ws and H, sentence economy, and news values.
By the end, students develop the ability to write clearly, concisely, and professionally for different audiences and media formats, forming the base for more advanced writing courses.
